You can always call them and tell them you are not happy with the limit offered.

So Amex thinks you are overexposed to the available credit when compared to your income.

How much is your Income? and how much is your total Credti card limts on all cards?

One of my teammates at work also got 50k on MRCC when he had an HDFC card with around 5L limit but then he wasn't asked for any income documents which I told him may have been the reason for low limit. If that's the case with you too, try reaching out to them which is very easy and try explaining your case. Most probably they'll ask for income documents to increase the limit. I'm not sure if they'll do it right away or ask you to wait for a few months.
Anyways MRCC is not something you'll use for high spends. The most it should be used for is 20k a month to get 1000+1000 points, so not a great loss in not having higher limit (although I understand 50k isn't justified).

got MRCC with referral program on November and without income proof they gave more than 4L limit

i got mrcc with limit of only 50k. while i have 3-4 credit cards of hdfc icici with limits of 2 lakh each
