Amex payment delayed by 3 days

My Amex bill was due on 6th Oct, I forgot & made the payment today (UPI). Will this be considered in the RBIs grace period? Though Amex has confirmed the receipt of the payment, customer support is not sure if it will get credited today (They say it takes 24-48hrs). Also, they are telling me to wait for the next statement. What should be my course of action?

Technically it should be under the grace period. It doesn't matter when it gets credites, the date of receipt is final say.
