Has anyone seen annual fee waivers on the Amex Plat Charge based on spends? Can you share your spend that helped you qualify for this?

Alternately, did you get a great renewal offer (100k MR points or better) based on spends?

The fee will not be waived off, but you will be provided with MR pts / Taj Vouchers as compensation.
Now the amount of MR pts / Taj Voucher depends on time to time and person to person. Many got offered 45K Taj voucher, many got even offer upto 1.5L MR pts. You can get more or less depending on spending and many other factor. You may get nothing as well, that's another possibility.

Are there any approx spending benchmarks? Trying to see at what level of spending should one expect a good renewal offer.

@Subhankar would be great to hear on this since would love to plan spends on the amex platcharge to max out renewal benefits. Given limited acceptance and better rewards on magnus, prioritise spending on magnus generally

Hmm... Seems like they're giving standard retention offers to everyone these days. Were majority of your spends in travel/luxury or did you have a chunk of business/utility spends?

I'm coming up for renewal and will have close to 50L but mostly travel and shopping and wondering if I can expect anything better.

my expense are my business travel expense , shopping Exp ,I have another add on card member who does spend around 20 lac in that . did you got any retention offer? my renewal time was April but I just prolong with arguing . I don't think they settle more than it ? How about you ?

I found that amex started to recruiting so many charge card members in this one year so retention is not the top priority for them. I do even feel that value of the card is not improving. offers are not attractive. I am using the card for 5 years I think the value proposition declines as 3 years back they used to give Marriott / Hilton / Hyatt stay offers and stay discounts but now days its not there , even few years back they given better transfer bonus to Marriott.
