Amex Plat Travel card getting rejected !

Hi TF Team,

So my wife has my supplimentary MRCC, Plat Travel and Gold cards. She also has her own secured credit card from IDFC (WOW) with a 20k limit, which I got for her to generate her CIBIL score. Credit age is 1.6 years and she is salaried. She has no unsecured credit card.

Her cibil is 776 now and I applied for Amex Plat Travel for her, but amex rejected it. This has happened twice in 4 months.

I had a chat with Amex customer care and I asked them if holding supplimentary card is the reason why she is being denied, and they said it should not matter.

Any idea what could be the reason, and how I should strategise this to get a card for her ?

Get the reason for rejection first through same chat or drop a mail to further process the application.

AMEX mainly depends on
1. CIBIL Score - Checked in your case
2. Serviceable location - Hopefully address serviceable
3. Good credit history with no payment defaults - Hopefully none in your case
4. Income >6L - This case to case basis

Preferably get unsecured card from her bank account as pre-approved, if possible then apply but anycase first find the reason for rejection as per rbi guidelines.

as per RBI Guidelines you shall be provided with exact reason for rejection get that from Amex and get it sorted
