AMex Redemption option cleartrip gv (3X rewards) VS cleartrip direct purchase

Hi there,

I am trying to a book International flight. I have AMex Platinum Travel CC.
Options I have :

1. Found a roundtrip with skyscanner on cleartrip around 33k I can pay with any CC I want.
2. Reward Multiplier AMex(3X) plus getting 2% discount with cleartrip gv but I cannot use above link because promo code + gv promo can't be clubbed. Price comes around 38k

Note: The flight prices are just for 1 person we would be travelling couple here. Spend would be around 70k INR approx
What would be the best scenario for maximum savings

it more of discussion thread cause the user also know he can actually book directly for maximum saving but wanted to insight how he can get more of this. any of other cc if OP have like inifnia check smartbuy portal and check the difference.
