Annual Fee can be waived off for Kotak Myntra if closure requested?

Hello TF members,

I got the Kotak Myntra card in Jan'2024 month and completed 1.15L spends till now (Requires 2L spends to officially waive off annual fee).
As one year is about to complete, I am planning to close my card as I do not want to pay the renewal fee, can you all suggest if Kotak would waive off the annual fee if I request for card closure? Did anyone tried recently and what was your experience, please advise.

I had also asked for fee waiver 3 months ago. They didn't budge even when I said I will close the card. They cancelled the card.

So it seems , closure is the only option left for me also after 3 more months. Spent around 1.2L till now and don't see any further usecase for me after it's restrictions on gold coin purchase on Myntra

They said we couldn't do either as the card was being cobranded with an instant discount and cashback feature. But there is no harm in trying. I remember reading in a thread an HNI Kotak customer was able to acquire it as lft.

They mostly don’t budge for cobranded cards for core cards they agree most of the times or offer you a lower variant

Same in my case of kotak pvr card told to waive off the fees or upgrade..then they cancelled my card..though kotak do wonder ha😅

I have a kotak league platinum card. Placed a card closure request but they offered to make it LTF.

I have placed closure request for my card and I received an email confirming the closure and below message was at the bottom of the email:

"Further, we will be unable to provide No due certificate as the same are issued only to Loan A/C holders or Savings A/C holders.

Further, we wish to inform you that CIBIL report is updated monthly"

Please advise how can I proceed?

Relax, if you have 0 dues and hadn't exploited in anyway past.

Only few are aware and take care of these fees & extra charges. Infact this TF community itself has just 40-45k members and u must know that kotak has millions of card customers.

*Here comes another point, but I won't brag😉
