I have a US trip (personal) coming up and will need to rent cars for about 3 weeks (across different cities). Is there any credit card in India that provides insurance on rental cars?

Why will credit card company provides insurance for 3rd party purchase insurance from their card
Platinum travel or platinum charge
Many US credit cards provide it. I have had it my Chase Sapphire, Citi and other cards.
Charge is the only true “Platinum” card. Travel rewards only in milestones.

Usa rental is whole different industry ofc they must be having it
I heard europe rental cars are almost same as indian prices like 2-4 k but u get mercedes etc in europe where as u get swift & baleno here 😅

It's very common for US cards to offer this for rentals globally, so I was wondering if there are options here.
If US cards can offer insurance on rentals globally, I thought it can't hurt to atleast check

It is always advisable to purchase insurance directly from the car rental company. This ensures that in case of any damage, you won’t have to block your funds and chase a third-party insurance company for claim approval. Additionally, I don’t believe any credit card will cover car rental incidents in India. However, you can avail of coverage at a discounted rate through the Avis Visa scheme or with Hertz Gold membership via AMEX Platinum card.
