No they are not. I ended up closing the card. But every customer is different for banks, so worth a try I guess.

Nope. Infact I ended up closing my Savings account as well. Now only got Axis Airtel (paid) and Indianoil CC (ltf).

I haven't got anything in last 3 years from axis, still they're ready to close both cards without any retention.

Do 1 card at a time.
The customer care narrative is such that you will feel they are about to close but they then suddenly offer retention. Because of the narrative, you may not want to try it for a card which you don't want to close
