Anyone having Federal Bank debit card?

Anyon having Federal Bank debit cards? Especially Shop n' save one.. which visa variant was it issued?

And for contactless debit card... Do you have to go to branch or you can place a service request online? Is the bank issuing MasterCard debit cards?

I have a Mastercard debit card, issued through the branch at the time of opening my account. Till now, service is very good, even better than any private sector banks in India. I don't have to visit the branch at all, I can ping/call the branch AM & she helps me a lot, almost processing all things over digital communication. Thanks

Is it contactless card or any of the new variants? When did you open the account? Which Variant of MasterCard is it?

Yes Contactless & a regular variant (basic one, not a platinum variant). What happened?

No, my cards about to expire and i thought of getting a new contactless card.. anyways bank is charging for useless visa debit card, so maybe add a 100 rs and upgrade to contactless one.. but I don't like going to branches and filling up forms and stuff so I thought maybe u can apply from online / ivr

I opened this account 7-8 years ago. They issued me a non-contactless MasterCard variant, and later Fed Bank upgraded my card automatically to the Contactless variant. Moreover, it's an RBI mandate to have contactless & chip facilities on all debit cards across banks. Thanks

RBI has not have this kind of mandate btw it's good option for people who choose without having contactless card for privacy and financial freedom...
