Applying for a Gold Card.

I have an Amex MRCC and a Smart Earn. The latter is useless. I would like to surrender this and apply for a Gold card. Which is a better way to apply? Through the website like a regular applicant or connecting to Customer Care over chat or phone?

There are multiple ways to apply Gold Charge card.

- Upgrade from existing MRCC on request (JF has to be paid)
- Amex referral program which is the best way to apply. You get Joining MR points too on referral. (You can use any referral link on the forum or mine on the signature in the comment)
