Are there any consequences if we share full cibil report without masking?

Dear Fellow community members,
With the recent trend by banks to make cibil enquiry when we check eligibility for any of their credit card and then if we apply for that credit card it becomes double cibil enquiry entry, some of us willing to get that double cibil entry removed from cibil report. But when we contact banks they ask to share full cibil report.
How many of you got success in removing cibil enquiry by sharing full unedited or masked cibil report?
Does there any future consequences if we share full cibil report without masking?

CIBIL reports contains full credit number, all the sixteen digits!, so I think it is prudent to mask it.

if someone needs to share just download PDF through any free or paid service then split the PDF and send only the Last Page where Inquired is mentioned.
Banks already have our full reports (via Soft/hard enquiries) whenever we opt for their products and services. So no point of masking. However we should avoid sharing full report with small NBFCs for obvious reasons.

They do have get a sense of many secured & unsecured cc a individual hold & loans but why not to ask 16 digit cc number? Cause it visible in the report too!

No need to share the full report. I have never done it. Just the 1st page & the page where the account / enquiry is which which you’re disputing.

Most times they want to see the report downloaded directly from CIBIL for the control number to verify it’s authenticity & the date of the report to check if it’s a current report that you’re sending.

I shared full report with axis infact they asked me to share enrtire report when I disputed them for extra cibil hit and they were removed
Bro, they replied using their standard format.

Even if you’ve sent them just the first page & the enquiries page & edited out the rest they would have accepted ! I have been doing this for years for all my disputes.

So did you split a pdf file or took a ss of first page and last page?

I always send screenshot of last page, they never agree with that and ask for full report😅. Then I escalation to RBI Ombudsman. Sometimes that resolves it, sometimes not. And I leave it afterwards.
Thanks for the Input cause I have shared my complete cibil report without hiding any detail to kotak twice on two different occasion and somehow hdfc made a cibil inquiry for cc which I didn't apply or though of applying so I wonder how that happen.

Nope. Follow the following steps carefully :-

1. Download the report first by clicking on print page and save the entire as .pdf on your desktop. I use a a mac !

2. Find the page number/s of the disputed account / enquiries from the downloaded report.

3. Click on print page again from the original source & then in print preview click on customise page & enter the the pages in the format 1-1, 5-5 (if your disputed account / enquiry is in page 5) & so on !

4. Save as .pdf ! You will only pages 1 & 5 have been saved as .pdf which will give all the required info to the concerned lender.

No lender will ask you to send a full report when you send a edited report in the above mentioned format. Make sure you don’t take screenshots, most don’t accept screenshots.

i did tried this but the report i downloaded through sbi home loan free cibil, print preview isn't coming on window, on phone i did watched YT video and i was like let me share new full report again cause kotak already had my full report so i was like in the future will take care. so would rely on airtel cibil cause their pdf does let me preview in print and i did checked this on earlier cibil report i had downloaded.
