Autopay enabled and manual payment ahead of due date

What happens if autopay is enabled in HDFC and Axis credit cards, and we pay the full due manually ahead of the due date?

Found about cashback through hdfc debit card, and want to use that now. But, I still want to keep autopay enabled as in case I miss manual payment it should get paid on due date.

In my experience, if already paid manually, hdfc does not deduct again by autopay. In axis, it warns that there will be double payment when I try to do manual payment, so never tried.

Thank you! There are no charges deducted for skipping the autopay, correct? Here in this article, it mentions about some fees for partial manual payment, but does not mention anything about full payment.
