Axis Airtel Credit Card Approval After Closing MyZone — Customer Care Says Flipkart CC Blocks Airtel CC? How Long to Wait, and Best Application Method

Hello fellow members,

I had Axis Flipkart, MyZone, and Axis Rewards credit cards. I closed MyZone CC yesterday and got the cancellation message today. Now, when I check the Axis Mobile app, there are multiple pre-approved cards listed—but Airtel Axis Credit Card is not among them.

When I contacted Axis customer care, they told me I cannot get the Airtel Axis Credit Card because I already hold an Axis Flipkart credit card. Is this true? Can holding Axis Flipkart CC block me from getting Airtel Axis CC?

Additional questions:

1. How long should I wait after closing MyZone before the Airtel card shows up as pre-approved or becomes eligible again?
2. Should I try applying through the Airtel Thanks app instead of Axis app? Would applying via the Airtel app improve my chances? Can I apply it immediately or wait for a few days?
3. Or should i also close Axis Flipkart CC? I hold HDFC Swiggy, HDFC Tataneu infinity, DCB, IDFC Wealth, AU LIT etc.

Appreciate if anyone can share insights or timelines based on their experiences!

1. Cards visible based on your profile, thats upto the bank. No flipkart card doesn't have any relation with airtel card, both can be operated at the same account without any issues.
2. Yes, Maybe, Wait for 1 month.
3. You can close it because you already have Swiggy not because you need to get airtel cc.
