Axis Atlas Usage after Devaluation

Hi,

I hope you all are doing well.
So, recently I had applied for Atlas CC through C2C, mainly because of LE. I have received the LE and approval now.
I just wanted to ask you whether I should continue with the card or not after the recent devaluation. My concern is I don't have any plans for travel in nearby future. So I am just looking for Cashback or any other benefits. So please tell me some of the practical benefits and reward rate for this card.
Can I sell the travel points which I receive anywhere and what is the reward rate?
Also what if I don't activate the card. What are the chances for getting LTF in 30 days?
And what if the card closes after that, I'll lose the LE?

Thanks
Kshitij

This card is not for cashback, it's to get air miles and Hotel points only.

If you don't activate the card, you will not get it lifetime free later because it is a paid card.
Only a few true Burgundy customers have managed to bargain for a lifetime free Atlas instead of select.

If you close the card your increased limit will not go down

Before 20 April life time free Axis Atlas was a bad decision because the joining bonus reward points were worth 10000, more than the joining fee Rs.5900.

Now after 20 April those who get the card will get reward points worth 5000, so the cost will be 900

How can I use these 5k points if I don't have any travel plans?
Can I transfer these points to someone? Is there any expiry to this?

If you have no travel plans you cannot use these Atlas edge miles.
you cannot transfer them to anyone.

I read here on techno fino that the expiry date is one year. But this is not confirmed and nobody's Atlas edge miles have expired till now

Atlas is a pure airmiles card with no options to convert reward points to cashback, neither can you sell your atlas points to others as you can't transfer points to other people account.
Only option for you would be to use the marriot way for points transfer.
Again that's a hassle and finding good buyer for Marriot points is difficult as the there are easier ways to earn Marriot points with amex.

Its still the best airmiles card but since you don't travel I would suggest cancel it.

For edge miles it is 3 years

I don't understand what it means to be a non-traveller tbh. Do some people not even go to other cities in India via train? Do they never leave their cities? At some point in a person's holidays, they do go to other places and maybe stay in a resort or something for one or two days, right?

I mean no offense to anybody, just curious.

Non traveller would mean they don't travel enough to benefit from a travel card after paying fees.
For them taking any premium card would not make much sense and should restrict themself to lower end cashback cards like Airtel axis, sbi cashback , Axis ace etc.

you need to understand that, not everyone will have the same / similar lifestyle ...
Non traveller = not a frequent traveller. it doen't mean that those will be stationed at a single place for a decade..

Yes exactly. The think is I am a hardcore traveller (India me shayad hi koi place bachi ho) but because of certain situations I am not travelling. I sometimes go for some work and take small hotel for a night and comeback. These cards are beneficial only if you plan holidays with family or friends. Then you think about resorts and 5 star hotels etc. Correct me if I am wrong.
