Hey, my Axis Bank Credit Card Bill is generated on 1st of March 2025, where my Total Amount Due is Rs. 23,425.04 & My Minimum amount due is Rs. 3,247.
I paid my minimum Due amount on 09 Mar 2025 before the due date of 21 Mar 2025. The remaining amount to be paid before the due date is Rs. 20178.04 (Revolving Amount).
I was unable to pay the remaining amount, so on the same day, 09 Mar, 2025, I converted two transactions totaling Rs. 20,590 (which was greater than the revolving amount) into EMIs.
My next Statement got Generated on 01 Apr 2025, where the due date is mentioned as "IMMEDIATE" instead of 21 Apr 2025. And also receiving SMS from Axis bank saying Payment is overdue please pay the payment immediately.
I called Axis Bank for the same. They told me that maybe there is an error, nothing to worry about. In our system, it is showing 21 Apr 2025 as the due date.
Yesterday, when I checked my CIBIL Report, my score decreased. When I checked it properly from Axis Bank, there is a payment delay of 11 days reported on 31 Mar 2025.
Again, I contacted Axis Bank regarding this. Now they are saying, "since you converted transactions into EMIs, just paying the Minimum Amount Due (without paying the Total Amount Due) in the last statement, in that case, the Minimum due amount is revised, and you are short of a payment of some amount. That is why there is an 11-day payment due is reported to CIBIL.
Is it True? Do I need to pay an Extra amount over the Minimum Due amount to the Axis Bank for that statement ?? If I convert a transaction into EMI before the Due date by just paying the minimum amount due.
