One of my friends had applied for a Flipkart Axis Bank credit card from the Flipkart app on the 18th feb. It showed that his application is conditionally approved. He tried to do video KYC from the app. But after entering the OTP, it showed that the OTP was incorrect, and after returning to the Flipkart app, it is showing that video KYC was unsuccessful, so one of the executives will contact him for physical KYC.
Today, after one day on the 20th feb, he got a call from the Kolkata office that the agent would visit his location for physical KYC, and as the nearest agent is ill, someone will visit from a 30-40 km away location.and it will take 1 hour to reach his home.
The agent who will visit today told him to buy a medical policy (per month 800 rs or something). He denied it as he already has a policy. But then the Kolkata head office guy also called him again to sell him a Medical policy, which he again denied as he already had a Medical policy.
Then he waited the whole day for the agent to come for physical KYC. But he didn't come. Then after 30 minutes, he called the agent to ask the exact time when he was coming, but the agent didn't pick up the call. Then he waited the whole day, and then he again called the agent before evening to ask whether he is coming or not because he has work and he has to go out for work. he was waiting for him whole day.And then the agent finally picked up the call and told him that today he will not come. And then he asked the agent when he will come. The agent told him that the day he comes, he will call before coming.
Now the point is why the agent and Kolkata head office guy lied that the agent would come today for physical KYC. His whole day got wasted for the agent as he waited the whole day for him to come.
Yes, he lives in a rural location. But I think the agent probably didn't come after knowing that he could not sell him health insurance policy.
The agent is giving a false statement to him that if he buys a health insurance policy for 800 rupees, then the cardholder will get a 700 rupee gift voucher in the Flipkart Axis credit card
Now what should he do? Should he complain about the incident on the Axis Bank Twitter page? He has the agent's and Kolkata office guy's phone numbers.
Or should he wait for some days for the agent to come for physical KYC?
I heard that sometimes the Axis Bank application gets rejected for no KYC. No agents appear for physical KYC.
And does the conditionally approved mean he will surely get the card after KYC without income proof? Is there any chance of declination after successful KYC?
