Axis Bank credit card reward points glitch

Just came to know that Axis Bank has started taking actions against those credit card users whose have misutilised their reward points system glitch. Even one of the user was able to fetch Rs 23 lakh worth of rewards points. Now the Bank has issued notice to the user to refund the amount.

Any body has any idea how this glitch worked?
