Axis credit card bill payment fails on Paytm

Does anyone have any idea why Axis credit card bill payment via Paytm fails?

"Axis Bank has declined your order. We have initiated a refund for your payment."

It is an one time failure due to some technical issue. I pay Axis CC bill through Paytm and haven't encountered anything as such. You can retry.

Retried multiple times, same error. Faced it in May and now again in June.

Have you tried paying CC bills from other banks?

Yeah and they were all successful! It's just Axis which keeps failing

I primarily use Paytm App for my credit card bill payments. I don't remember any card payment failing on the app. I have done a lot of payments through it to Axis Cards too. None of them have failed.

Same for me.. all other issuers works fine it's just this Axis one keeps failing. Tried via Amazon Pay credit card bill payment today and that also failed!

I paid axis bill day before yesterday through Gpay and it was successful. Can you please try paying bill through Gpay?

Even my Axis card payment has been failing. Earlier Axis Select worked fine. But Magnus seems to have some kind of issue. Not sure what other cards or card series are failing..
