Hey Folks,
There are many people here who got Magnus in May/June/July. and we will be getting 25k to 75k ER points.

For my case, ill be getting approx 80k ERs and looking for suggestions to transfer the points. I'm planning to travel during/after October/November.

Should I transfer to Accor or ITC (can transfer to Marriot but it's limited per quarter now)
or should I break it up between Accor and Airmiles?

Note :
- I'll be getting 50k+ Marriot points or 25k Airmiles from AMEX platinum travel.
- Have Vistara idfc so domestic flights are sorted.

Please give your suggestions and please ask questions here if you are also in the same boat.

Accor is much safer and simple to use if you want to use hotel bookings.

All hotels of Accor can't be booked by points. List differs from city to city. But broadly IBIS hotels can't be booked.

ITC it's straight forward. Book a hotel now. Pay by points later. Easy redemptions. Yes, it does not work in all locations.

Don't these hotels give the option to pay using points at the time of check-in/out??
I guess, only selected hotels have the facility , not all. We have to call and confirm hotels beforehand.

I am seeing a trend that maximum people are suggesting to transfers all the points to Accor.
No doubt it's value back is awesome, but people like me, can't afford very luxurious hotels, even by points.
People should be made aware that, all hotels cannot be booked by points. That holds true for ITC also.

Can’t understand what the fascination with transferring to Accor is.

Leaving apart something like Fairmont or Raffles, all the hotels are fairly low end/budget where I would rather just pay at if I wanted to stay there.

There is a lot more value to transfer to Marriott (via ITC) and then use the redemption at higher end ITC/Marriott properties with the 5th free night.

itc to Marriot is capped now at 15k per quarter?
but you can directly transfer from ER to Marriot with less value than itc-> Marriot
