Axis Magnus 2 years free

Hi I just came to know , that axis magnus is being offered to my friend with no annual fee for two years .
Call was directly from Axis Bank , my friend doesnt even have an account in axis bank , he holds only one vistara basic card that too just 3 months old .
Is it real or its a scam , can any one please help ,
The call was received yesterday , online documents were submitted and aadhar verification will be done tomorrow .

Mostly a scam
There are no such scheme of 2 years free
Either FYF , LTF or normal fee plan

They are just third party agents looking for incentive as communication was on call there is no proof even call recording won’t work , as your friend would have not asked for employee ID , Axis will simply deny .

Just tell him to not have any high hopes

If the fee is applicable, it will be charged immediately after the first transaction is settled.

But they still would have filled the application somewhere? As @anirban.choudhury said there is no provision of 2 year free for any card. FYF might be possible as it has been for some people but 2 years I highly doubtful.

What Joining fees was mentioned on your welcome letter? If it says 0 then you got it FYF.

What does these two say for you? Mine was paid hence the 10k charge if in your case as your say you have not been charged yet, then it’ll mention 0 on the joining fee. Anyway, if it hasn’t been charged in the first bill, it is probably FYF.

Haha they are not being kind to you specifically. The FYF offer is for people with 2 lakh/month or something salary credit in an Axis account. But while filling your application, there is a field in which they have to chose the option of FYF, Paid etc. and some agents by mistake chose the FYF option and hence the card is processed with the same benefit.

I do not have an account with Axis Bank, nor am I a salaried or business person with regular income. I did not contact any agents; instead, I applied online, and a manager from Axis Bank contacted me. They sent someone to verify my documents, and that was all.

The humorous part was when I received an SMS stating that my card was approved, but nothing happened for several days. I then wrote to their PNO, who responded that my application had been rejected. A few days later, I received an email stating that my application had been accepted, but I did not believe them.

I wrote to their MD, asking them to stop playing pranks on me. They investigated the matter, expressed their apologies, and that was it.
