Axis Atlas Axis privilege to Atlas without video KYC

Hi,

I have axis privilege card. Axis app is showing preapproved select card. But I want Atlas card as I am planning to earn miles.
As part of my work, I am staying at hotels every month 5 to 7 days. Per my company suggestion(mostly its a rule) , I was told to book hotels directly from their website. (My HDFC DCB is not useful here as I cannot use smartbuy).

I called Axis customer care and they told me only Preapproved cards are Select and Neo for me as per my expenses.
Suggest process to get ATLAS card. If i apply separately, do I again have to do video KYC , ITR etc?

If it's showing pre-approved in your Axis Mobile App, then it's a hassle free process. Otherwise, no matter how you try it will be a very cumbersome process to get your desired card.

Had same doubts. dont want to get rejected on atlas...
If I spend more on my axis privilege. Is there a change I can get Atlas in Preapproved ?

Probably. It completely depends on Axis. But you can still try. No point in applying for a card which you surely know would be rejected. Spend on the same for the time being and check around Feb-Mar 2025, due to FY end they might have something to offer you, hopefully Atlas.

Upgrade any of the existing cards to atlas. Depends on if you are eligible. Try asking once.

Customer care said not eligible. I have to apply separately with payslips, video KYC I think

If your limit is more than 1L wait for preapproved offer you will get it soon. If you need it urgently then go with seperate application.

The actual upgrade process (not to be confused with "Axis CS upgrade" terminology) involves replacing your current card with a new one while keeping the same account in CIBIL. This works only if both cards share the same reward type. In such cases:

1. The previous card is closed.
2. The new card becomes active for usage.

For example:

• If you have a Privilege Card, which belongs to the Edge Rewards category, you can only upgrade to other Edge Rewards cards, such as Select, MyZone, Neo, Rewards, etc.

If you’d like to retain both cards (and not close the existing one), you can request a new card instead of an upgrade. Here’s how:

• Simply contact Axis support via chat and ask for an Atlas Card (eligibility: credit limit > ₹4L).
• If approved, you’ll receive the Atlas Card while retaining your Privilege Card, with both remaining active.

Cust care didnt approved atlas via call & web chat.
Applied online via axis website . Got a message that executive will get in touch for further details.

I requested Cust Care to upgrade MyZone (2.5L limit) to Atlas. It was done on call and the new card was visible in App almost immediately. CC said as the reward structures are different, MyZone will remain active. It was a smooth process.

Tried but I was told not eligible. so applied fresh via axis website.
Submitted application and got a message that " executive will contact for further details"

Woah! I used to think that any one with credit limit > 1L is shown pre-approved Atlas. I had credit limit of 30K and was shown 14 cards, but not Atlas. My Atlas application was rejected earlier. Got the limit increased to 2.5L and was shown pre-approved Atlas instantly in Apply Now > Credit Cards section of the app. Are you sure that there is no pre-approved Atlas in the app?

Also, if one customer executive had denied, you should have called again to get a different executive. I had read in a thread that Atlas can be generated instantly by the executive.

maybe because I dont have Axis salary account. Its HDFC.

I didn't even have a savings account with Axis when I was shown 14 pre-approved cards. I still don't have a salary account, but only a savings account.
