Axis Atlas Axis really shows their lack of innovation from step 1

Just applied for Atlas because Accor seems more in line with what I want. Jumping ship from Amex.

1. Their form is absolutely horrid. Weird rules about not having special characters in the address like comma or slashes or anything for that matter.

2. Apparently, the office address has a 50 character limit on the backend but it is not shown to the customer. When the agent comes for KYC, it throws an error there and we basically have to do the whole thing again but from his phone app because that's not broken and throws this error correctly. The agent claims this has been an issue for years.

3. Going off that, why need in person verification when everyone else has moved to virtual verification. From Amex to ICICI - everyone has moved to the future.

4. I had applied on 9th, the kyc happened on 10th but despite claims that I'll be sorted in a day or two, they aren't giving any updates. Calling them doesn't do anything.

5. I'm aware that their CC tracker says TAT may be slow (thanks, I guess) but to really have this level of defeat.

I knew I'd have to deal with their incompetence down the road with points etc. but to have it shown this early - I'm kinda bummed.

I really hope this gets sorted soon. Axis had an opportunity to actually be at the forefront of banking but now that I have gone through the experience of Amex/ICICI (not even talking about new CC companies like Scapia or Niyo) - it's apparent what makes them still a second, no actually a fourth choice for anything banking related.

I'm gonna miss Amex so much. Glad I'm keeping my Plat Travel.

I'm also thinking about shifting. But what's stopping me is the long list of exclusions. No Reward points is still okay, but not including in milestone calculation is a bit too much.

Would you be able to achieve the Atlas milestones with all those exclusions?

I don't buy jewelry or fuel or have goverment expenses.

Most of my spends are online. I should be fine.

For income tax, it will count towards the milestone.

No no whatever doesn't give points doesn't count for any milestone also.
that is the rule with all Axis cards, unlike American express

Ah okay, my bad.

Based on the information here on Axis' official website.

I don't spend on any of these except Insurance, tax payment and utilities.

I'll use my Amex Plat Travel for this year's insurance payment and tax payment - should come to about 50K

If possible, I'll route utilities (Internet + Electricity -> monthly between 3K and 5K total) through either

1. Atlas - Gift cards on Amazon
2. Plat Travel - APay via Amex Gyftr (if they decide to bring back bigger denominations)

Atlas for all other expenses like Swiggy, BigBasket, offline payments, Uber etc.

It really has it own eccentricities. I too applied for Atlas on 8th next day physical kyc and yesterday card is appearing in app. I asked if I already have account with you why need physical kyc again but that is how they work. I had privilege card which I closed in August. That time I did not have account and card was issued without any physical kyc. Now I have account they repeat kyc!! And last month had also applied Atlas which got declined strangely. Now another funny thing noticed yesterday Atlas appeared with limit of 3.2lacs, same on earlier closed privilege card. Today I got message your limit is now 2.51lacs, means reduced!! And 2.51 as if shagun diya hai. I really wonder is this correct choice to have Atlas but maybe let me try for a year.

I'm glad you already got the card. My application is still being reviewed.
