Balmar Lawrie Air Ticket Bookings counted as Government Spends.

I had spent about 3.25 Lacs for my travel ticket bookings from Balmer Lawrie's Vacation Exotica portal in my HDFC Diners Club Black Card.

My statement generated yesterday had ZERO reward points. When contacted the customer care informed that charges reflect as incurred for Government Expenses and hence no reward points.

Shocking. Otherwise I would have charged my AmeX for that.

any other credit card which will give reward points or cashback on balmer lawrie?
anyone with info please share

In December also, I had booked my family trip tickets and I had got full Rrward Points.

Just missed the changes noticed for DCB also. It is really highly devalued now.

same of Atlas, If you book Alliance Air flight from their website you get 1X instead of 5X. it considered as a govt spends. but it did not mentioned in any T&C i.e Alliance Air is an exclusion.

CC Company Cannot read vendor names when they track.. It is only on the Merchant Codes MCCs which Balmer Laurie would have been tagged to via Diners / Mastercard / Visa. They may have used their Govt. Authorised Status for somw benefits and would have got tagged as Govt...Almost impossible to change now as they will have to go to the payment partner Visa / MC / Diners and get it changed which they won't do
