Bank's kyc done yet no card received

I applied for a very popular card 0n January 2023. My application was pending as I tried to reschedule my kyc but the agent never called me.

So in 2024 august I thought to get that card. My kyc was completed successfully on the same cc application yet I didn't receive the card. I escalated the issue to the bank pno as well as ombudsman but still no action was taken.

They are offering me a compensation and accepting their mistake. They offered me 2k but I rejected it . What do you feel is a fair demand.

Tldr applied for a card 2 yrs back,kyc completed after 1.5 yr,never received the card,bank accepted it's mistake, what compensation should I ask they were offering 2k, I denied.

i want to what RBI guidelines they are violating and what compensation they are liable to me.

You would have had a case if the card was approved in the first place. If the card wasn't approved, but you anticipated receiving it, then I don't think there's anything that can be done here. Find out what is the status of the application before going ahead.
