Bbps payment home Loan

I have a home loan with union bank of India, which due date is on 15 every month ,the money get debited on 15 of every month automatically. I have got a kotak super 811 debit card. I wanted to make payment using it from sbi unipay . As unipay consider every transaction as utility hence I will get 700 rs every month for 14282 using two cards. But when I tried to enquire to bank/customer support they say you can pay home loan using only our banking app (vyom) . While I have tried using unipay for experiment by depositing RS 20 and it went to loan account directly. They have no clue about bbps payment
The question is if I made payment using bbps via sbi unipay ,will the emi amount be still debited on 15?

Also will the amount which I pay using sbi unipay using my debit card using loan repayment mode be considered as principal amount payment or Emi amount payment

They have developed a system for payment but they themselves are clueless about it ,so hey peeps do give your insight around this

as of now, home loans must and should be from NACH (auto-debit from provided bank account), manual payments not allowed.

Do check bank process and/or bank only can give you reasonable explanation. Check with another customer support.

Technically it (20/-) should be considered as part of principle downpayment. It is like you are settling the principal using NEFT/cheque etc

Tried contacting with bank but they didn't knew about that ,they stressed on paying via vyom app(their own banking app)if you wanna do payment manually or otherwise the emi will cut automatically on due date

Yes maybe you are right ,will confirm this once this month emi is withdrawn automatically. if it goes towards loan emi I will be charge 20 rs less if it goes to principal amount i will be charge the full amount . Let's see what happens

EMI will always be charged at full amount and any extra payments will deduct from principal. Emi is setup using standing instructions, which I think is a fixed amount. Do let us know what happens in your case though. My loan is with sbi.
