Hello Team,

I wanted to buy MacBook Pro M2 2022 which cost around 1.85L. Currently have HDFC DCB. I can acquire Magnus if required. So, just wanted your help in understanding which card or gift card method will provide me maximum benefits.

. Currently have HDFC DCB.
check the price on smartbuy and check how many points you have. The best value will be using the DCB rewards, 5x reward Points that you’ll get on the remaining, and it also says there is a 5k cashback. I am not sure if you’ll get both the cashback and 5x points. Like the 14 inch MacBook Pro M2 is 188k at the smartbuy.

If you can wait a few months, then acquiring Magnus might make sense (assuming you spend at least 50k per month even otherwise). You can accumulate Amazon vouchers and Amazon shopping vouchers (Rs. 60k per month). If you are in a hurry, you can use DCB at the IMAGINE/TRESOR Store on Smartbuy for 3x. However, per day capping of 2500 bonus reward points will apply. Please check if interest-free EMI option is available as you get will points on Easy EMI also.

Yep that per day capping will kind of make it useless to buy from smartbuy right?
And we cannot use our points to pay 70% for apple products right? this option is only available for infinia?

I would prefer making the transaction from Reliance Digital store and do the payment in two parts.
1lac with magnus, which give you milestones points
And remaining amount with DCB, where you will get apple cashback benefits of around 5k + points. Also, you can always negotiate with Reliance Digital guys for giving you the best offer in the market. I have always seen difference of 3-4k in pricing while purchasing any items from them, comparing any online/offline store.

1. Yes.
2. you can use 70% of the points to make flight and hotel bookings only. If you wish to redeem for products, you will have to redeem the points for gift vouchers (0.5 GV for 1 point)
