Best Card for International Transactions

Hi All

I have an international trip planned in December 2022. I currently hold an Axis Magnus, which will already be used up towards the 1 lac milestone. The additional spend will be around 2 lacs (in December). I was wondering does it make sense to get another card (credit or Niyo global) or should I use the Axis itself?
Any input is greatly appreciated.

Note: I am not planning for an AXIS Reserve. My spends won't justify the charges.

@cmg yes I have run through the thread. I wanted an expert opinion on does it make sense to get a new card for international transactions or just use the Axis Magnus (knowing that the RoI will be negative).

RoI won't be negative. Airmile reward rate of magnus is 4.8%. You will loose 2.18% for international transactions. Effective return is 2.62%

So to summarise, your premium credit cards like Magnus, Infinia, DCB are always better than those zero markup charges cards like niyo global etc?

I think Niyo global can be used to withdraw cash without foreign markup (+ withdrawl chages + gst)

Use Niyo to withdraw cash from ATMs, Magus for card swipe everywhere else.
