Best redemption ideas for Lufthansa Miles and More miles

i have 50K Lufthansa miles in my and my wife's account ,
what are the best redemption available from Lufthansa in such points ??
Lufthansa is also a star alliance member, so can we use these miles on any Star alliance member flight ?? how does this work?
