Best strategy for ICICI Credit cards? When to apply? Rupay?

Someone

TF Buzz
Currently have HDFC bank credit card from two years of regular usage, very basic card n low limit but thankfully Rupay. (and as you know they never asked for limit enhancement and when I tried, they rejected). Even tho I have large transactions on debit cards and all they don't seem to care and I don't want to try and ruin my credit history as they are annoyingly putting checks in credit history even tho everything is on their bank

I have savings account in Kotak bank with good balance from 2 years and have no pre-approved offer. (my fault that I don't use their debit card like I do in my primary account (hdfc)

Don't have income proof thus can't go for premium cards like amex and live in non-serviceable area for banks that give no shit for income or physical verifications like SC, indusind, even goddamn RBL. (Can do the thing of having current address of different city but don't want to do that and also don't want unnecessary cards with low limits)
found AU lit attractive and have good service but they give very low limits to people like just 30k to the people who have 70k in axis. And they would reject my application because they mostly provide it to salaried person.

I have seen that IDFC and Kotak and even freking OneCard suggested me FD based credit card but not fan of such things for next couple of years.

Now that I want best credit cards from ICICI (never applied) coz that are best in service. Now I wonder what to do
Should I open saving account in there and make large transactions via debit card?? (Then waiting and see if they get generous enough to give me a credit card preapproval.
Or do I apply for Amazon ICICI card (which is sure they would approve).
I want to ask how much credit limit to expect from them. and how much they give in general at starting? is there any way that I get large credit limit at start or would it be easier to increase later on??

Also tell if you have other credit card suggestions for people like me. Other banks that give easy credit card (I don't mind verification) but I don't want to apply somewhere and be stuck at lower variant basic cards forever. Also, if a bank can provide Rupay credit cards, I have seen that they are more useful 😉.

Apply for amazon pay cc. Whatever limit they give at start, they are pretty good with limit enhancement. See if you qualify for their ltf sapphiro offer under the alumni program. That would be a good way to get 3 cards(2 for sapphiro and usually they offer rupay coral in 1-2 months).

Apply Apay, if approved within a few months you will get pre-approved Coral Rupay card too without any CIBIL hit. But before applying I would suggest you to do some transactions by any Credit card in your Amazon account.
