BharatNXT rental transaction attracting additional rental charges

If you use BharatNXT for rent payment, do check your credit card statement this month. In the previous month, I have been charged an additional 1% from my credit card as "Rental processing fee" when using BharatNXT to transfer rent to my landlord.

It is the first time this has happened in the previous 1 year of using BharatNXT for rent payments.

Payment made in the first week of Novemeber using SC Ultimate. I have used this combination previously with no issues. Might be some MCC charge from the month of November.

Probably MCC changed to Rent.

If you select Rent option in bharatnxt.
It'll be Rent MCC and charges would be applicable from the banks side.

Use Utility option to avoid charges from banks side.

Self is not possible.

I don't think amex will work. Even diners doesn't work.
