One of my dad's relatives has a 450 bought in 2021 or so, they've ridden around 40k KMs on it, yet the battery is in a good state, they still get around 85% of the range it had when it was new. Also, I haven't heard of Ather's catching fire as much as other EVs. Yes, they did catch fire a few times, but even ICE vehicles catch fire, only that ICE engine fires are not reported as they are so common. I say this cause, I myself have seen 3 ICE vehicles burning, right in front of me, never saw it on the news, whereas when one EV did, saw it on the news for a day or 2.



EV fires are reported like hot cakes, cause it's a new technology.

1. What is battery cost?
2. Company itself says battery need replacement after 4 years
3. Add the cost of battery which is around 40% of total cost of vehicle and do per km calculation to compare with fuel bike.

Who said that a battery replacement every 4 years?


Ather ka launches dekho, Tarun Mehta, the founder of Ather himself says you don't need to buy the pro pack if you're gonna buy for the battery warranty of 5 years, he says it will work easily for 6 to 7 years.

In India, chinese batteries are used, whose life is 3/4 years....A very good quality non-chinese battery used outside India has average life of 7/8 years

And you keep comparing EVs to ICEs without considering any money being spent on servicing of the ICE vehicle. Matlab comparison karna hai toh dhang se karo, atleast itna biased mat karo.

Ok..Going by your words, After 6 years (i mentioned 4 in my calculations) you need to spend 60k on battery which is 10k per year and Rs 833 per month translates into approx 8 litre petrol. Which implies 400 km per month for petrol bike..So aportion Rs 833 to total Kms of EV per month

Now yourself calculate per km cost of EV.
