2. If your CL is increased to 10L recently in last 6 months, then this won't work.

I have tons of questions.

1. Do we need ITR/Salary even if Imperia/infinity RLV/TRV requirement is reached?
2. Is CL/Spends criteria increased only in case of imperia/infinity?

Normal sending email to grievance, is 8L limit still works?

Thanks. I just wanted to be sure points are refunded back to reward points account and not a points voucher which needs to be used in specific time.
No hassles in refund. I booked Westin Langkawi through Smartbuy in September 2025. However due to technical issue, points and amount were debited. After sending a mail, they refunded within 3 days.

Same rule should also apply for refundable hotel bookings as confirmed above by you and Kabir.

Just for my records, did you send an email to customerservices.cards@hdfcbank.com for manual refund of points or to some other email id ?

Yes, that is correct. The exception is when the booking fails or is cancelled by the aggregator. Last month, I was trying to book flights from Tokyo to Los Angeles via Hawaiian Airlines. It was cheap and they had a one day stopover and I wanted to visit Hawaii again. Everytime, the payment would go through but I would get a call from Cleartrip after about 5 to 10 minutes stating that the airline wasn't responding and they were cancelling and issuing a refund. However the same flight would keep showing on Smartbuy. I tried booking it dozens of times over the next week and each time, the points were refunded within a few minutes and were usable immediately. However, for cancellations made by me, they are usable after the next statement.
