Business class/ non regular lounge access

Hi everyone,

Given today's scenario where every tom dick and harry has a card that provides lounge access, there are now queues outside the lounges.

In bigger airports such as IGI, I rather prefer to go to food court than to visit the lounge.

Hence, I wanted to bug people as to whether there is a trick to get access to other premium lounge ( apart from amex lounge) like air india lounge without a business class ticket?

For AI be *G or be traveling with someone who is *G on the same flight. Similarly for UK Encalm etc. be UK G or P or traveling with someone who is UK P.

Essentially airline elites get lounge access irrespective of class of travel.

Doesn't get you access to the AI or UK lounge.

Of course getting airline status usually requires hardwork and isn't a trick.

The trick is to wear a porter or lounge staff uniform and quickly sneak in and change into your regular clothes once you are in.

Get a Amex card ( Plat Reserve or Plat charge ) to access the Amex lounges in Delhi or Mumbai
Get Axis Vistara Infinite card which would give Vistara Gold status through which you might give you access to AI lounge in IGI

No it doesn't. It gives you access to the Encalm Vistara Lounge in IGI.

I have not tried it myself , but few I know said they were able to access. Also the Adani lounge in Mumbai has a separate section for AI and CV elite tier status. You can check these tweet for details

A lot of the lounges have separate sections for junta cards i.e. your average debit cards etc. and a separate area for premium access either by premium airline pax or elites or PP / DC etc. BOM, CCU and many others have done this.

AI might have had some kind of temporary allowance for UK guests but since UK now has a dedicated lounge I seriously doubt they have access to AI DEL. In fact that's one of least crowded places to be in chaotic DEL airport.

got to use this entry thanks for Axis vistara infinite card. Earlier in Delhi T3 ( domestic) the lounge has 2 sections. DCB , priority pass and may be few more cards had separate section.
Heard off late, the lounge partner changed and the sections are merged and crowd / queues are huge
