Calculating Regalia Gold Returns on AGV

Hi, I was checking the return we receive on purchasing AGV from Payzapp for my Regalia Gold CC.

For an amount of : 1000
Processing charges: 35.4
Total Paid: 1035.4

Rewards points(as per Payzapp for Regalia card) : 24(Regular)+ 96(Bonus) = 120

On Redemption the value goes : 60(0.5 per reward - general assumption) - 108( 0.9- using Accor)

Thus the final reward rate is in between : (60 - 35.4)/1000 to (108 - 35.4)/1000

I.e. 2.46% to 7.26%

This return rate also increases with larger amount.

Please confirm me if i am correct in calculating the return.

You are basically paying 36 rs more for 60rs worth of services.

Almost all cards give rps from gyftr iirc.

Amex gyftr on travel platinum gives 60 reward points without extra charges for 1000ra voucher

Amex gold gives 100 rp for the same. Without charges.

Why should anybody pay for reward points in the first place?

Still, to answer your question, Regalia points on smartbuy are around 50 paise for travel redemptions. Its a bonus if you can extract 0.90 paise per point for accor. Whether you find it benificial or not is s personal opinion.
