Can a cibil hit from ICICI bank be reverted ?

I recently by mistake forgot to pay a credit card due , but the moment i got an alert via email/sms - I paid it immediately. But nearly 60 points dropped stating that i missed 1 payment.

Recently did late payment after receiving email notifications about the miss of payment, I called upon my ICICI credit card customer team and said that miss was not intentional and requested for refund of late payment charges. They reverted my late payment charges and additional charges associated to it on good will gesture. Also this is my first time miss in my 8 years journey of icici credit card.

Just 3 days back , yesterday my cibil score got reduced (received a notification in email stating that cibil was updated by icici). Called upon ICICI , but they confirmed CIBIL score reductions due to missed payments can never be reverted back in cibil system.

Is this correct ? Cant the hits be reverted back in cibil by banks ?

Generally how much points get reduced in cibil if a payment is missed.

For me, ICICI did. I phoned customer care it was. Connected to Wealth Banking (without keeping any money) at 2 in the morning , and they told me to call during the day at 8 AM to speak with the CIBIL team. They accepted my request, maybe because the due was only ₹29.
