Can anyone tell me what is going on with HDFC ? Is my application rejected or in process? Please read below and help!

> I applied for HDFC Millennia Card using C2C Application with my SBI Card (₹1.4L Limit) on 13th November.

-> Today’s morning, I received my Application Number on SMS which was this “24K19xxxxxx”. And just now I received this mail which is saying that the application is DECLINED.

-> So now, I went to the HDFC website to track the status just to confirm and I entered my PHONE NUMBER & DOB to check. Now using this combination I’m getting a different Application Reference Number: “24K01xxxxxx”, which is showing as IN PROCESS.

In Short,

1. Application Ref. No. 24K19xxxx which I received through message and mail is showing as DELCINED.
2. But, the Application Ref. No. 24K01xxxx I got using my DOB and phone number on the status tracking website is still showing as INPROCESS.

And both of these reference numbers are different.

So is my application rejected or is it still in process and I have a hope that they’ll approve it? And what the hell is happening?

***Note: I have HDFC “Preferred Banking” Savings Account and this is my FIRST TIME applying for HDFC CC. Also my CIBIL is 764.

Similar thing happend with my known. For that case, it was the same ref number for which decline mail received, but status on website was showing as inprocess. However, that was for floater card application (vKYC was done despite being an existing customer), while I understand your case is new to bank .

Wait for 2-3 days....the other inprocess one will get approved or rejected.
You can escalate or take any action then.

It is rejected. HDFC kind of indicates the application is being processed which could be either rejected or accepted.
