Query on Canara bank rupay select debit card

Hello everyone,
I want a rupay select debit card to get ott and other benefits and searching the options to get it.
I found canara rupay select debit card with nil joining fees and 1k annual fees but i am not sure that if i open general savings account with canara bank which has MAB requirement of 2k then will i able to apply select card from this account..

Just today went to bank, applied for family`s account and asked them to provide Rupay select varient of Debit card. They fill out your form immidietely on tablet and during same have option to select debit card - just selct Rupay Select varient and it will be delievered directly to home.

Is your account is Rs.2k minimum average monthly balance account or higher variant account

For account opening I added 2k immidietely, for Rupay Select they asked if we can maintain 2k MAB - said yes and that`s it. All done!
