Cancelling AXIS Debit Card

TF Premier
I have an AXIS debit card which charges me 590 per year. How to cancel it. I think Virtual Card is sufficient for all my purposes, at least I haven't used the physical card in the last 1 year.
Account opening was Feb 24 so trying to cancel it before Feb 24
Also if I opt for a low fee card any suggestions?

How did you get virtual Debit card? Are you sure if you cancel your physical debit card then you virtual card will be active?

I think Virtual card came with the accout opening
DBEZY is the account code and I think it is digital easy access account. I had opened this account online

Also how do I see the debit card number etc..I see half the digits are masked in the website and app

If you are talking about virtual card then follow in app : Accounts -> View Virtual Card. If you are talking about physical card then no idea.

Yes. First confirm with customer care and then proceed. Axis cannot be trusted blindly. Even customer care executives can misinform us. After opening liberty savings account, I called them and enquired about the arrival time of my welcome kit and virtual card. He told me once physical card is delivered and activated then virtual card will get closed automatically. But it is still active in my account.

If both card numbers are same, virtual card also will be blocked

i cancelled my debit card for these same charges and same reason 2 years back.
i wrote to pno and then a person from their office called, tried to convince me not to cancel but when i insisted, he went ahead and cancelled it.

as for the virtual card, he TOLD me that it was issued as a temporary card till i received my physical card by post. but i think that it was a lie as nowhere was it mentioned while account opening that the virtual card is temporary.

i didn't waste my time trying to check if virtual card is working or not, as axis is a bank that has no integrity and i maintain only the minimum balance in that account now.

I think virtual card also have charges of 590rs. (If you have received 500rs coupon at time of account opening)
