I have received an message from HDFC Bank for coupon worth 500.
But when I'm trying to claim the amount it's asking for credit card validation by paying 1rs.
Since I never did this before I'm getting some doubts can someone clarify if it's fake or genuine one

a) did you recieve email or just sms?
b) what is the domain of the website where the redemption is happening?

Only message, earlier I received email and message so it's clear. But now only message.

Yes, you need to validate and they'll deduct ₹1. I have redeemed mine. Sadly no amazon pay. Had to go with Amazon shopping.
