Will I be getting 2% cashback on itr payments using stanc smart credit card? Not sure there was any recent devaluation on this credit card on govt transactions?

Thanks in advance.

yes this card has devalued. Max CB you can get is Rs 1000 per month. but you end up paying .91% on govt portal towards transaction charges/gateway charges. so essentially you get Rs 500 per month max.

There has not been any devaluation.
The only thing is that one needs to accumulate more points before redemption. That's all

It's a devaluation of some kind IMO. I held this card until couple of months ago when i saw TnC changing minimum redemption criteria to 2500 from existing 1000. same ting happened to SCB titanium too, it's minimum redemption amount went up too. What's the point of making minimum amount to 2500 and then placing restriction to claim in multiples of 1000 only? This is them being d*ckheads for no reason in my opinion, so you can technically redeem a minimum of 3000 only. I held SCB titanium from when there was direct statement credit in next billing cycle, from there it went to manual redemption on a separate portal (unnecessary hurdle for a cashback card), it still was OK as there was no BS of minimum X amount to be redeemed or redeem in multiples of X or anything, I had claimed just 133 rupees of cashback once too.

From there SCB titanium made it in multiples of 250 only, then went to minimum of 500 , and then 1000. I just got sick of this tomfoolery and closed my cards with them and told retention team that this is the reason to close my cards.

True. Frequently changing T&C is not good
