Hotel Points Certain rates not showing "Redeem with points" option on Accor

Hello everyone,

Planning a trip for later in the year where I plan to use 200k+ Accor pts (transferred over from Axis). In multiple hotel searches, I have found the option to use points being randomly available or not - for instance, in one property, only non refundable rates have the option to redeem points.

In another instance, a property is not showing the option of pay at hotel, so I would need to transfer points prior to booking itself.

Is there any way out of this (like by calling customer care)?

Thanks!

I saw similar pattern. The super saver rate which has no breakfast was not showing points redemption option. I took a risk and booked it. Went to the hotel and asked to redeem points. They did it and it includes tax too. I did it during check in itself and it took 5 minutes for her to do some clicking to get it all done. They print out a paper and get our signature for point redemption.

The above rate excluded breakfast and late checkout. I got both for free which was a good bonus.

But for this to work, the rate was a "Pay at Hotel" one right? If not, then wouldn't your card be charged at time of booking (for non refundable) or at the time the cancellation time expires?

probably it would be a good idea to email them. Every property has a email id. So that you don’t pay using cash even when choosing to use ‘Pay at hotel’

I read that they equate 2000 points to 40 Euro and then multiple of thereof. All these conversion rates are of that date and they show it in the redemption slip or something ?

No. You can call and book. Then later pay at hotel using points. Some hotels ask for card number and expiry. No cvv.
To be clear, we can book a room which has the saver option (which is no refundable) by calling the customer care and telling them that we will pay via points during our stay which included taxes too?
I tried booking via their app and it shows to pay now only.

That is correct. Also, ensure you receive that in writing via mail. I haven't encountered instances of them denying this, but as Accor transfers are new to this community, we can only discover if they are denying this at a later point in time.

Also, you cannot cancel the booking. I'm uncertain of the issues if you cancel anyway, given that we didn't pay at the time of booking.

Yes it was pay at hotel. It said give card number if you want to retain booking beyond 6 pm. I gave the card number as they never responded to my emails. I sent two emails and waited for a week and no reply.
