Changing Mobile Number of HDFC cards (Method for Savings account holders)

Hello everyone!

I am willing to change the registered number of my HDFC bank account and credit cards. Will the number get changed automatically if I change the number of my account through ATM or do I need to change the number of credit card through any other method?

Yes, first change the Saving account mobile no to the one you want. Then get the same number updated to your credit card...i believe this requires you to fill a physical form...you can check that from any CC support team in your branch.

Else you can download from bank's website and then send to their Chennai address with ID proof to get it updated in the card.

If your account and credit card has same number, just visit a HDFC atm and change mobile number in account. Number for CC will automatically be changed after few days.

I guess this should work because previously I changed the number of my relative's account on his behalf and his CC number automatically got updated, even though he submitted form for that. After a few days he received a SMS from Chennai office that the number was already updated. I think it'll work.

Working on Paytm phonepe etc but not on hdfc app. You please check yours once changed and do let me know if it works for you.

I visited the ATM yesterday and just now the number of my savings account is updated. Now, how long will it take for the credit card number to get updated also?

I changed my number recently in savings account but my BM still made me sign a separate form for my credit cards to send it to Chennai office.

you can easily change mobile number . I just called my RM he gave me a form and fill in the details and then submit that form to him only . He will send it to Chennai office on his own

According to previous comments, first you need to change the number in your account via debit card from an ATM. Then after 3-4 days, it'll be updated automatically in your credit card.
Also you can message people directly in the forum via Start Conversation option.
