Today 7th Feb 2025, I visited the Railway Lounge at Chennai Central Railway station at 10 PM. I swiped my IDFC Millennia Credit card and shared my mobile number & PNR with the lounge executive. It took around a minute to get the receipt. The executive informed me that dinner is about to be closed.
So I directly went to dining area and showed my receipt to get a plate. Only Vegetarian recipes were kept outside. Since I'm veg, I didn't enquire about the nonveg options.
Menu - Chapati, Channa Dal, Matar Masala, Aloo Fry, Lemon Rice, Steamed Rice, Sambhar, Rasam, Pappad, Raita, Chutney, Juice & Pickle.
Since it was late, only 2 other people were there at that time. Dining Area has a capacity of around 35+. I missed to click pics there.
After having food, I found a corner Sofa with a Table. The total seating capacity is around 100.
The place is well kept and the AC offered comfort in midst of the hot & humid Chennai weather. I stayed there about an hour and left the lounge to catch my 11.30 PM train to Bangalore.
This is my first, probably the last Railway Lounge access using The IDFC Millennia card. I applied and received this card in the 2nd week of Jan this year specifically for the Railway Lounge access benefits. However, within a week, IDFC devalued the lounge access benefits with spending requirements.
