I have 3 LTF CCs from ICICI - Amazon Pay, Platinum Visa n Coral RuPay. Heavy usage of Amazon Pay n Coral RuPay. NIL usage of Platinum Visa (activated).
Asked them to close it. Which they promptly did. Happy.
But, they ALSO CLOSED my actively being used CORAL too. After exchanging 2 eMails, they have realised their mistake.
But, not willing to reactivate it by canceling the closure.
Another 2 strong n harsh eMails made them come back to me on phone by 3 extremely polite seniors.
For your negligence, why should I suffer even if you give a new Coral card. What about application, CIBIL hit, processing time n card being couriered - all this to be done within 1 week as we are leaving for US trip. The only option they have is to REACTIVATE THE CLOSED CC as I am yet to destroy the physical card with me. Another 2 seniors called. Discussed the pros n cons.
So, they have no option than to REACTIVATE IT. Which they did.
And, 3 persons called me to confirm that my Original Coral RuPay is active from their end.
Within 10 minutes, did a trxn and it went through without a glitch. Normal trxn SMS recd, trxn eMail recd with correct limit outstanding.
Mission accomplished. Dead Coral RuPay revived n brimming with life again. Felt happy like a surgeon successfully reviving a dead patient.
Happy with ICICI for rectifying their own mistake.
