Credit card for student

Open a 12k mab Axis bank account online (mention yourself as salaried) and keep using it for upi/bill payment regularly. U will get preapproved offers for cards in 2-3 months with no home/income verification required. U might have already got a good cibil score by now due to ur secured CC ( If u dont wish to open 12k MAB account and want zero balance account, then u can follow the same process for Slice bank account and wait for their CC-dm if u need referral for the slice savings account.)

If your CIBIL score is good, you can easily get the ICICI Amazon Pay card. I also got it the same way by applying through Amazon. didn’t ask for any income documents, and I just selected self-employed. With a good CIBIL score, getting the ICICI Amazon Pay card is quite easy.
Try your luck

I was in a similar spot last year with my ICICI secured card, and getting an unsecured one took a bit of patience. Since you already have over a year of good usage, you might get a pre-approved offer soon — check the ICICI app regularly. Keep your account balance steady and maybe use the secured card actively. I also used Pedirayudas once to learn about financial aid and resources — it’s actually really helpful for figuring out small money steps like this.
