Is there any listed criteria for getting regalia gold as lifetime free for govt. employees? If yes, please provide the supporting documents

Get it paid, use extensively then email for LTF. Eventually it will be LTF after few tries, works everytime.
If you use it extensively, you should push for higher upgrades like DCB, Infinia.
If you can't spend enough for the fee waiver then don't opt for it. Go for lower cards like Millennia. It's currently LTF till 30th November.

Good advice but does not work anymore. Used DCP for around 5k in 6 months and neither did they approve for DCBM or LTF Regalia Gold. When I complained about the card not being accepted extensively they offered LTF Millennia!
All banks are heavily curtailing issuance of cards with any sort of benefits.
Well one of my friend went from RG paid to infinia metal paid 2 weeks ago. It's all about email game.
Redressal, grievance rejected it, then couple of emails to higher did the job.

Yes, decent spends in last 6 months and limit above 10L.
For airport lounge only, indusind tiger might be better. It has no spend criteria I think.

The only criteria that HDFC Bank is considering right now seems to be income. It looks like you need to earn 2 lakhs per month in hand to get even Regalia Gold which is ridiculous.
You don't spend on your cards in protest? Fine, HDFC doesn't care.

Yes, they consistently denied DCBM all the way up but finally offered Regalia Gold FYF. Which I declined and I then stopped using HDFC cards.

Fee waiver from the hdfc bank seems impossible. But you can try for LTF.
Fee waiver is almost impossible. You can send an email to PNO, though I don’t think they will make it LTF since the spends aren’t much.
If you feel that regalia gold is not fulfilling your needs, consider dongrading it to millennia.
I have spent >5L in last 6 months using RG (limit >5L), yet they denied upgrade to dcb.
Both are completely different cards. It depends on your spending category.
Regalia Gold is trash if most of your spending is on shopping, cashback categories, or utility bill payments.
Millennia is trash if your spending is mainly on flights, hotels, or SmartBuy.
