Delay in Income tax Refund Processing

Is anyone else facing delays in their return processing for AY 2024-25? Refund processing is pending for both of my parents. I've been raising grievances every month since October, but they keep closing the tickets without providing any timeline, just asking me to wait and it will be done when it will be done. Does anyone know an email where we can escalate this?

Had a chat with a friend of friend who works in ITD, he said that they have been asked to scrutinize middle class tax payers. Hence the delay. Even mine is still not processed. He also said that the re-file window was open for a few days in Jan and those who re-filed in Jan instantly received their refunds. They are planning to wrap up by March end, so I guess there's nothing left to do but sit back and relax..

I can confirm this, 2 of my friends received scrunities last week. Now they want to revisit their last 3 yrs ITR.

Both are in pay range of 30-40L

Mine also got rejected twice this yr, eventually accepted and processed in less than 30 days with refund.
