Delayed Amex MRCC 20k milestone points

Hi All,

Since the last year, I have always got the Amex MRCC 20k milestone points as soon as they amount gets posted. But this month it has been around a week, the points has not yet been updated. Wanted to check if anyone else has ever faced this issue? or has Amex delayed the timeline for crediting the points?

Yes, sometimes they delay it but you will get it after a week or so

My last transaction was a 2000 rupees Paytm Wallet reload. As far as I was aware all transactions were counted towards the 20k spends. Not sure if Amex is not counting wallet reloads for the 20k milestone.

If you get regular rewards then it would be counted

Yes, i did get the regular reward points on the wallet reload. Its the first time my points were not credited. The 1500 transaction one was credited as soon as the amount was posted.

May be i'll get it in some days. Otherwise will check with the customer care

Facing this issue for 2-3 months.. everytime getting points 15-20 days after month end after many followups (they add points manually).. issue in my case for some resson i got automatically un enrolled for the offer.. they gave the points but after many followups.. i have again re enrolled for the offer.. and they saying it won’t be an issue now

Maybe you have history of refunds or you are transacting on a merchant where there is high chances of refund. They have a machine learning model which decides after how many days the milestone points are credited. It's not same for all.

It may be the case because for the 1st time I used for MRCC on paytm wallet. Because I have never done it previously and my 20k milestone 1,000 points were credited instantly as soon as the transaction was posted

Nothing to do with this. Many ppl use paytm only for Amex.. i think it is more of what I explained earlier... system glitch maybe leading to un enrollment.. re enroll again and also followup for missing points

This is not typical of Amex. Call the call center and it will get resolved immediately. Customer service is one of the major reason I will think twice before closing Amex.
