Hi guys,
I have a IDFC first millenia card. Recently it started showing me upgrade option.
Does upgrade mean loosing the first millenia card or will it be like ICICI where the new card will have shared limit with old one ?
I was thinking of getting that power plus hpcl card for fuel purposes so that i can have continuous transaction on idfc.

The credit limit will be shared between both cards, and the old card will remain active. Nowadays, many customers, including me, are receiving upgrade offers. However, the cards being offered for upgrades are not very good.

Better cards are available in the market, and if it were lifetime free, it would have been a different matter. However, considering the credit limit, I don’t think this card would be very beneficial because IDFC generally offers a lower limit on their cards, often on a shared basis, which may fall short. So, it’s better to opt for an SBI or another bank's fuel card instead.

It's Hp vs BPCL
Your choice

It depends on which card you hold.

If you are upgrading from free card to a paid card then both card will remain active with shared limit and vice-versa.

If you are upgrading from free card to another free card then the old card will get closed.
