Does late payment get removed after 7 years

Hi guys i made a late payment by 7 days
And cibil dropped to 704 from 778

Now amex is not removing it

Can i get it removed after 7 years or it will remain forever?

the late payment does not vanish, it will always be in your CIBIL Report. However it stops affecting your CIBIL after 3 years.

Relax. The impact is temporary and seems your CIBIL is history is quite less (may be 1- 2 years). As your history increases, any late payment impact gets less severe. Also for this particular late payment, your CIBIL will recover in couple of months.
